Write a 1100 word essay addressing each of the following points/questions. Be sure to completely answer all the questions for each bullet point. Review one of the conflict theorists: Bonger, Dahrendorf, or Vold. Compare and contrast the theorist, the culture in which they lived, the economic times, and the relevance of their theories in today’s culture.

The peacemaking movement advocates for more “humanist solutions to crime.” Write an essay on whether or not, if victimized, they would participate in a restorative justice program or a sentencing circle.

Compile your reasons for participation or non-participation in a “green movement issue” and then objectively consider the pros and cons of such humanist solutions that may be available.

Discuss your chosen theory in light of these two points of view – consider whether or not you believe it is important to appraise a theory from both perspectives and state why you think so. Be sure to integrate your understanding of Carper’s Ways of Knowing into this discussion. What new understandings do you have regarding implications of limited or expanded points of view?

In this essay, you will compare three types of people as follows: (a) one group is to describe a successful individual, (b) another group is to describe a minimally successful individual, (c) a third group is to describe a criminal. List the distinct traits evident for the successful individual, the minimally successful individual, and the criminal individual.

As stated in this module, a variety of mental disorders have been linked to criminal activities. Describe whether criminals who have been deemed mentally ill should be incarcerated for their offenses or be housed in a mental health facility. Is it appropriate to incarcerate someone with a mental illness? Do you think “they are getting away” with the crime if they are housed in a mental health facility instead of a prison? Explain your position.

Strain theory proposes that lower-class citizens turn to crime, in part, as a result of frustrations they face when attempting to achieve socially approved goals. Investigate the various agencies and programs in your community that are oriented toward providing assistance to this group of citizens. Pay close attention to barriers that may interfere with the agency’s ability to provide services to all in need (for example, limited resources, limited space, regulations concerning substance abuse, and financial need requirements). Write your report.

Cohen provides an explanation for the development of deviant subcultures among young, lower-socioeconomic status males who are unable to “measure up” to the middle-class measuring rods. As part of your research for this essay, reflect upon the various subcultures you see within the community and consider how these subcultures vary according to how urban or rural the community is, the economic status of the subjects, and answer any other questions of your concern.

I tend to agree with Sayre in regards to his interpretation of as an engagement due to the joined hands in the portrait as this was a sign of a promise to be wed, as well as the way Giovanna is portrayed holding her gown in front of her abdomen symbolizing fertility. Both of these in my mind signify the hopes she wishes to bring to a marriage. The sculptural representation of Saint Margaret is the back of the painting; patron saint..
